feel even better.”
    “You feel good,” she said.
She’d thought to tell him to stop. To tell him to slow down. But when had patience ever gotten her anything but heartache? Or rejection? When had she ever done anything wild and crazy? Never. That’s when. She was throwing caution to the wind. She was tired of being responsible and dependable. She wanted to live . She wanted to feel alive. And for the first time in her life, she did. She may yet get out of here alive and then she’d never see Lucian again. And right now she didn’t want to think with her head. She wanted to think with her heart. She wanted to think with her girl parts. Screw caution.
    “Take me, Lucian.”
He wasted no time responding. He spun around and pressed her against the wall, sandwiching her between it and his wall of muscle. He was warm and delicious and she was hot and ready. Her legs slid down the length of him, her toes barely touching the floor. He pressed against her and jerked down the zipper.
    And then paused.
His hands shook as they hovered over the material of her jumpsuit. No, she couldn’t allow him to stop. She needed him to continue. She needed him to finish what he started.
    “Lucian…?”
    “Are you sure about this?”
“I want you,” she said .
“I wanted you from the minute I picked you up from all that shattered glass.” But instead of shoving away the top of her jumpsuit, he pushed back her damp hair. “The way you crawled up me and put your legs around my waist…”
“What about it?” she prompted, wanting him to continue so she could hear what it did to him.
“It nearly sent me over the edge.”
She placed her hands on either side of his face, his stubble abrasive against her palms. The sensation sent little zings of joy through her entire body.
“I won’t regret this,” she said.
    “I won’t either.”
His hands slipped under the cloth and pushed it gently aside. Her eyes fluttered closed when he palmed her breasts, the nipples already puckered into small peaks. It made the heat between her legs pulse at a quickened rate. She shimmied out of the top part of the jumpsuit, pulling her arms out of the sleeves.
Her hands landed on his chest and tugged his shirt. It took several tries to free it from his pants but she finally released it and slid her hands over his skin. His chest was as she imagined. Hard muscles, soft skin covered in a dusting of coarse hair. The heady sensation left her lightheaded. She couldn’t stop the moan of pleasure that escaped her.
Lucian’s mouth landed on her neck again as his hands worked magic over her breasts. The clothe s between them were in the way. She kicked off the boots and stripped, standing naked before him.
He backed up a step and took her in, his eyes devouring every inch of her. “Beautiful.”
No one had ever called her beautiful before. Cute, sure. Perky, of course. Smart, yes. But never beautiful. Her impatient fingers tugged at the clasp on his waistband. She couldn’t make her hands work and fumbled. Finally he shoved her hands out of the way, undid his pants and pushed them to his ankles. A second later, he’d kicked off his boots, yanked his tunic over his head and pulled her naked body against his.
The warmth of his skin exploded over her, consumed her. She nearly swooned as his big body crowded hers, pushed her against the wall. The length of his erection pressed against her hip. He was so…damn…tall. This would never work.
But his mouth was demanding and his hands never stopped roving over her body. She didn’t want to stop. She never wanted to stop. Realizing her petite frame didn’t match his overly large one in their current position, he scooped her up, his hands on her ass. Her legs went around his waist allowing her to press her hot core against his bulging thickness.
His mouth never left hers as he trotted back up the hallway, their clothes forgotten. She had no idea where he intended to land but she hoped it was some
