He was proud of the depth of her reaction.
“Were you hoping I couldn’t walk?”
He chuckled softly. “Don’t worry. We have a few days. There’s time for that.” He tugged her hand, urging her into the room. “We’ll go hang out in the hot tub for a little while, and then I’ll put you to bed.”

Chapter Four

She woke the next morning with her head still pillowed on his chest. The last time this had happened was before the kids were born. Usually she woke up alone or to the sound of a baby calling. Jonas tended to wake up before everyone else. Sometimes he would have sex with her—whether or not she completely woke up—before he started his day.
A glance up showed that she’d indeed awoken first. His lashes curved against his cheeks, and his breathing was slow and even. Since she almost never had the chance to study him when he wasn’t aware of her perusal, she took this opportunity. He’d definitely aged well. Forty was just around the corner for him, a mere two months away, yet he remained easily one of the most handsome men she’d ever encountered. At rest, she could admire his high cheekbones, the strong lines of his jaw, the slight arch of his brows, and his firm lips.
He’d developed some light lines around his mouth and eyes, side effects of his almost constant smile. Even when he wasn’t smiling, he still had a twinkle in his eyes that hinted at his vast well of internal happiness. Sabrina liked to think she’d given that to him.
He kept his long, lithe body in shape by spending time in the weight room he’d installed in the basement and from their activities in the pool house dungeon. Though he flogged her only a few times each month, he put in time with a practice dummy to keep his aim and technique true.
She looked at her arm, bent across his chest, and reflected that she could use some time in the weight room as well. Though she swam regularly, her workouts weren’t as punishing or as frequent as they used to be, and she found herself struggling just to maintain her current weight. This wasn’t an issue she’d ever anticipated having. It seemed the hormonal changes wrought by having children had tampered with her body chemistry. Her metabolism had slowed drastically. Now when her sister brought over award-winning confections, Sabrina often turned down her portion.
Jonas didn’t seem to mind the added padding. He honestly delighted in her new curves. That was fine for when they were alone, but she couldn’t seem to come to terms with showing her body in public anymore. When they’d first married, she and Jonas had traveled the world, visiting sex clubs where she was often naked or very scantily clothed. Her husband was an exhibitionist. It came with the territory.
Now she didn’t mind performing with people watching as long as she could remain at least partially covered. Last night he hadn’t pushed the issue. He’d exposed and played with her breasts in public, but he had kept the rest of her problem areas covered. When he’d taken her on that stone serving tray, the deep shadows of evening had obscured most of what he’d exposed. She wasn’t sure who, if anyone, had watched them, but she was certain they hadn’t seen much. The skirt of her dress had ended up bunched around her waist, but the sides hung down enough to hide the stretch marks on her thighs.
Beneath her, Jonas shifted. The muscles in the arm under her tightened. He pulled her closer as he rolled toward her. Now her head rested on his arm and his body pressed along the length of hers. His cock stirred against her stomach, and his hand moved over her hip.
Even though he didn’t open his eyes, she knew he was awake. “Good morning.”
He hooked his hand around the back of her knee and brought her leg up to drape over his hip. Then he reached around and lined up the head of his cock with her opening.
She’d still been moist when he’d put her to bed the night before, but now her body responded
