Tippi. You got to know that I know everything âbout those around me, especially you. I wouldnât be the King if I didnât.â
âAnd?â
âAnd what?â
âYou still ainât told me what you meant by that question.â
âGirl, stop playinâ!â
âI ainât playinâ, nigga, you are!â she stated angrily.
âSince you beinâ all sensitive and thangs this morninâ I take it that Mondo didnât break you off properly last night, huh?â
âFuck! You! Nigga!â Tippi yelled and hung up the phone.
King laughed and shook his head as he turned onto the highway.
By the time he made it to the block he saw that Tippi was in a real foul mood and that wasnât cool; someone could get hurt. He quickly stepped over to the trap where Tippi was standing with the tip of one of her sharp stiletto knives pointed directly at a crackhead.
âNigga, I donât give a damn how much you spent last night. We donât do credit, so get the fuck on!â Tippi said in a deadly tone.
Before the crackhead could say something stupid and get himself cut, King stepped in between the two and said, âCome on with that, Tippi. Let him make it. Itâs too damn early for this shit.â King saw Tippiâs angry glare and knew that this was going to be one hell of a long morning. He turned his back to her and faced the crackhead. âYou need to go on and raise up outta here. Ainât no credit poppinâ off.â The crackhead turned and left, mumbling about how much money he spent last night and how fucked up it was that they wouldnât give him any credit. The game was definitely a cold one.
King turned to Tippi. âWhat the fuck is wrong with you?â
âYou already know the answer to that shit so why the fuck you askinâ?â
Shaking his head from side to side, trying his best to make some kind of sense out of Tippiâs actions, he said, âYou on some way out shit this morninâ, Tippi. Come on, letâs take a ride.â
âIâm not tryinâ to be ridinâ with you right now.â
âI didnât hear myself ask you a gotdamn thang! You ainât got a fuckinâ choice. Now bring yoâ ass, Tippi!â
He left her standing there as he walked back toward his car. Tippi let him take about five or six steps before she began to follow him. Once she was inside of the car he said, âListen, I donât like the fact that you have to get yours off with a square nigga. Fuck, any nigga for that matter. But it is what it is until our money is so long that that shit wonât matter anymore. Thereâs only one female other than you whoâs ever held my heart and you already know sheâs long gone. Iâve told you this shit over and over. I will not mix business with pleasure. Iâm not goinâ back to the pen for doinâ some stupid shit that will jeopardize this money. Weâre finally in the position to make some serious paper and youâre trippinâ more and more! I wonât let you fuck this up for us, Tippi. I canât. So you got to get a hold of ya feelings and this jealous shit you be on âcause that shit is detrimental to all of our goals.â
Though Tippi was a stone-cold killer, she was putty in Kingâs hands. Her heart belonged solely to him. âI canât help it, King. I mean, damn, Iâve been in love with you for years. It seems so fucked up that I canât even have the dick that I want when I want it! Then to have to accept you goinâ over to that flabby-ass Lawandaâs fucks me up even more. I understand the game plan and I know whatâs what. But youâre not feelinâ me and how I feel about this shit. This is like the second time around, King; how much more do I have to take?â
âDonât do that. Look, I feel you, but you have to put those feelings aside for this money and
